Best sushi this side of the Pacific

This is an excellent place to get fresh sushi, in generous portions, at a price that won't break the bank. Watch out for the hours (closed Monday's) and between 11:30-2:30 on weekdays. Friendly service.

My favorite sushi place of all time. I've moved cities twice and have yet to find a sushi place like Bonsai Sushi.

Ordered Salmon Don, so disappointed. The salmon' s not fresh, taste like frozen salmon, defrosted, cut, and then served us. I got sick within 30-45 mins after this meal. Please try and experience it so you know how I feel. I hope they will improve sashimi and raw fish quality.

Excellent sushi. Not excellent overall due to the limited selection of drinks. But if you just want to eat, this is the place. This is my second time and more to come. 😋

Great quality sushi sashimis at very nice price

I’ve been coming here for years for incredible fresh sushi. They’ve recently added Ramen to the menu and they do it well. Spicy Miso ramen with a sashimi or nigiri combo is amazing!

The service is great, the food is delicious, the place is clean and has a friendly atmosphere. When we couldn't finish our sushi, the waitress packaged the rest nicely and added soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabe! 💙💗🍀

4 free parking spaces located near the front of the place between the other dinner. I was initially worried when we entered the place only one more person was eating, but the place slowly lively up. Baby chairs for sure needs to be cleaned they we're sticky. Food is decent. portion is good. Service was good.

My wife loved it and the sushi is pretty good. I'm not a huge sushi guy so I'm not able to speak to it but what we had was good. Very small but seems popular as it is often full.

A delicious place. Sushi and entree menu, with the usual favorites. Sushi, however, is fantastic especially the White Tuna. Smoked salmon, salmon, mackerel, eel, all can be enjoyed for reasonable prices. Hot sake, cold sake, Ichiban, soft drinks. And, if you get sushi, the meal comes with salad, sashimi, and miso soup. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Perfect for intimate discussions and close relationships.

The teriyaki chicken and sushi that we had was good. They focus mainly on sushi, so the menu isn't loaded with too many miscellaneous items. It hit the spot if wanting sushi.

I have been going here at least once a week for over a year now. The quality and quantity is always fantastic. Everyone I bring to Bonsai Sushi says they don’t want sushi from anywhere else from then on! The rice is always cooked perfectly and it doesn’t dominate the rolls. It’s a great place for a casual night out. Highly recommend!

Love this place. Usually I get the giant boat, because it’s enough for two or three people and a great price.

The place is fine, the sushi I tried was fine but not amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would come back to try other things to see if I like the place more.

Food is good, but owners are not Japanese. Some errors in our dinner. We ordered oyakodon (which is chicken, egg, onion, Daishi on rice). Instead we god chicken Katsu with sesame terayaki sauce. We were told oyako means chicken, not true. Probably other errors, but well cooked in its own way. Nice appetizers. Good value for price. Nice dish presentation. Only 6 tables inside during winter and sushi-side tables. Better than most “sushi shops” in the diversity of dishes

The service was friendly, but the food left us wanting. I think it may have been an off day when the fish wasn’t the most fresh, however, it was clean and definitely better than some of the sushi I have had at other places.

I arrive at this special place every couple of days because I love the special air that is outline this place. The team is extraordianrillyremarkably attentive and well trained. The service is pretty fast. Also, the food they cook is excellent. I have been there more than once and I was never disappointed. The payment is modest. I suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

The best sushi around. Been coming for 10 years. Tuna combo is my favorite. Always fresh and plenty of fish in the rolls. Highly recommend! Tasty with no gimmicks

Amazing little sushi place. I'm from California, and sushi here was better than most of my favorite places in Cali! Needed to charge my phone, and they put a chair in the middle of the walkway to keep it up off the floor. Eager to help...some of the best service I've ever had. Very attentive and quick. Sushi was incredible...large pieces, skillfully prepared.If you're flying into or out of Reagan, this place is a must.

Can't believe that this place isn't more packed. The quality of the fish is fairly high for a restaurant of this caliber, and the price point is right on the money. Friendly staff, and very quick sushi chef. Spicy rolls are a bit spicier than most (they got a bit of kick to them), but other than that everything is spot on!

Not the best sushi, made me a little nauseous afterward. Shrimp crab roll was squishy and spicy tuna roll was unusually cold. Sad!
